OWA ODYSSEY XXVIII

May 18, 2019

LIVE! From The United Center in Chicago, Illinois!

“Playthrough Number Two”

(OWA intro plays.)

(A video package recapping the events of the last few weeks fades in from black. First, we revisit the first Omega Awards ceremony, where the likes of Azumi Goto and Natalie Cage won big. Final Destination itself is next. The pre-show of day one sees spunky upstart Roni Ozborn outlast all of the competition to win the inaugural Amazon Warfare Battle Royal. Later that night, the Six-Pack Elimination Challenge takes place, with Dulce Torres last eliminating Megan Harper to become a two-time Goddesses Champion. In the opening match of day two, Clash of the Goddesses winner Natalie Cage would go on to unseat Azumi Goto to become the Women’s World Champion for the first time.)

(We open on the interior of the United Center, where “When the Lights Come On” -- Asking Alexandria is blaring over the PA system and accompanying pink and silver pyro dazzles the capacity crowd. As the display finishes up, the crowd is cheering even louder now. The camera sweeps over the sold-out crowd. A hot pink graphic reading “LIVE! CHICAGO, IL” appears in the top right corner of the screen. After showcasing a couple more overhead shots of the raucous crowd, the camera cuts to the commentary table up on the stage.)

Gia Cervantes: We’re kicking off season two in the city that birthed Odyssey -- The Windy City, Chicago! In the same building where Michael Jordan and the Bulls of the 90s used to run through the competition, the women of Omega will continue blazing their own trail to greatness as we get this season started off right! As usual, I’m Gia Cervantes…

Ashley Walker: ...and I’m Ashley Walker! While Odyssey may not have technically been involved in the recent draft, the roster still looks a bit different than it did before. It’s exciting to see so many fresh faces in the fray! Case in point, tonight’s opening match pitting one-time Amazon Warfare Battle Royal entrant Liz Idol against the debuting Dollhouse member known as Jonetta Stone! Will Liz finally get a tick mark in the win column, or will Jonetta show that Roxy and DiVa’s winning ways have already rubbed off on her?

Gia Cervantes: Speaking of Amazon Warfare, the winner is in action tonight! Roni Ozborn laces up her boots tonight to take on someone with a winning pedigree in Novita! Will the brash, tough-talking newcomer take home a win, or will The Aerial Ace continue building the momentum she’s got behind her?

Ashley Walker: After that, we’ve got some tag team action to look forward to! Cynthia Ali will have her new advocate watching her back when she teams with the debuting Clair Wildingham to face off against Megan Harper and April Song! The Storm is looking to rebound after being a fingertip away from becoming Goddesses Champion, and The Killer Bee has made no bones about the fact that she’s here in OWA to win! Will the unlikely tandem of Ali and Wildingham pull off the upset, or will Harper and Song prove they had it in the bag all along?

Gia Cervantes: And in tonight’s main event, newly-minted Women’s World Champion Natalie Cage takes center stage when she goes one-on-one with an Odyssey OG -- the returning Jessica Rose! Jessica was instrumental in helping build the women’s division in its early days, and what a statement she could make if her first outing back is a victory over the World Champion! It would be a sight to see, but as we all know, Natalie is far from a pushover! The Battle of the Brits will be closing out the show tonight!

Ashley Walker: All that and much, much more as we roll into our season two premiere with all the excitement in the world! In the meantime, let’s send things down to Rebecca Sawyer in the ring! Becca, take it away!

Rebecca Sawyer: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the General Manager of Odyssey...VIOLAAAAAAA DEMARCOOOOOOOOOO!

(“Loud Like Love” -- Placebo hits to cheers and applause, and Viola DeMarco nods cordially to the crowd as she makes her way out onto the stage. She stops at the top of the ramp to adjust her blazer before making her way down the aisle.)

Gia Cervantes: Now that things are more or less locked in for the head honcho of Odyssey, she can officially look to get season two underway! She’s got her roster, and that’s all she really needs to move forward.

Ashley Walker: After an incredible showing from the women at Final Destination and a stellar champion vs. champion match on the draft show, Odyssey is poised for even bigger things moving into this new season. Viola’s got to be incredibly proud of all of that, and I assume she’ll touch on that when she says whatever she’s got to say now!

(Viola enters the ring at last, and she is handed a microphone by a production assistant as her music fades out. She takes a moment to look around and chuckles slightly before bringing the microphone to her lips.)

Viola DeMarco: This is A LOT bigger than Aragon Ballroom.

(She sighs contentedly.)

Viola DeMarco: It’s all very nice, though, and it makes all the sense in the world. Think about how much OWA as a whole grew over the course of season one. We started out in smaller venues, and by the end of it all, we sold out State Farm Stadium! That’s growth. That’s progress. So as we rolled into year two, we could no longer try and contain all that magic. It was time to move onto bigger and better things...and so we’ve taken this show on the road. I suppose no brand has grown the way that Odyssey has. Let’s not forget, this brand didn’t even exist at the onset of season one! We came into the game a bit late, sure, but it’s never stopped us from wanting to prove ourselves as the best brand that this promotion has to offer. From day one to Pluto’s Gate to Final Destination and beyond, it’s going to be a wonderful march into the future, and I’m so happy that all of you have decided to join us. I could drone on and on about how proud I am of the women that I oversee, but...I probably do that enough already. And considering that there’s a jam-packed show on tap for tonight that I’m sure you’re all dying to see, I’ll try not to take up too much more time.

(Viola pauses for a moment.)

Viola DeMarco: As we all know, outside of actual physical titles, perhaps the most coveted accolade on Odyssey is the mantle of Queen of the Ring. We’ve seen some of this brand’s best talents try their hand at winning it, and others have tried their hand at using it to become a champion. A wonderful idea in theory, really, but I’ve elected to make some changes to it.

(The confused and intrigued collective buzz of the crowd persists as Viola continues to speak.)

Viola DeMarco: First and foremost, the name will be changed. Out with Queen of the Ring, in with Athena’s Cup. Named for the Greek goddess of warfare and wisdom, it’s pretty fitting for the warriors on this brand, right? In addition, there won’t be a ring dangled above the ring that six women compete for in a ladder match. This year, we’re handling things with a single-elimination tournament, and the two finalists will square off at Boiling Point with the winner receiving both the beautiful namesake Athena’s Cup AND a guaranteed Women’s World Championship match anytime, any place within one calendar year of the day she wins it.

(The audience reacts with approval and applause.)

Viola DeMarco: I should also probably mention that the tournament action begins next week. As such, I’ll be watching some of tonight’s matches very, very carefully. No pressure though, ladies.

(Viola winks directly into the camera before “Loud Like Love” kicks up again. At that moment, the feed transitions to the backstage area, where the Odyssey roster is shown watching the announcement on the monitor. Many of the women begin to excitedly chatter amongst themselves, clearly happy about Viola’s announcement.)

Ashley Walker: So, let me make sure I got all that...Queen of the Ring is Athena’s Cup now, we’re getting a fun, March Madness-esque tournament this year, and the finals are at Boiling Point?

Gia Cervantes: Yes, yes, and yes! And even better, all that tournament action starts NEXT WEEK! As we just saw, the ladies of Odyssey know that things are about to get very interesting around here, and this tournament could be a major springboard for any one of them! Who will ultimately claim Athena’s Cup has yet to be seen, but the road to Boiling Point is definitely gonna be an interesting one!

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

Gia Cervantes: Looks like an interesting talent is on her way to Saturday nights! I, for one, am amped to see more new blood on the Odyssey roster. Christie Sky came in with the frills and the hype, as you can see from that video package, and I’m hoping she’s got the substance to back it up.

Ashley Walker: From one soon-to-be debutante to a couple of ladies making their Odyssey debut in just a few moments, the theme of rising stars prevails! Let’s move into our first match of the night.

Rebecca Sawyer:  The following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL!!!

(“Hollywood” by Madonna hits on the PA. Liz Idol clumsily slides out of the curtain. She waves to the crowd as if she were the queen or some kind of royalty. She struts her way down to the ring, touching some of the entrance way fans who bother to reach out. She then slides in the ring and does a NIXON fingers like peace pose as she stands on the middle turnbuckle rope.)

Rebecca Sawyer:  Introducing first...from Australia...weighing in at 120 lbs...LIIIIIZZZZZ IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDDDDOOOOOOLLLLLLLL!!!

Gia Cervantes:  Liz Idol got to have the honor of competing in the very first Final Destination Women’s Battle Royale.  And while she may have not fared so well at the big show, she has a chance to get her season two started off right by taking on one of the newest signees to the Odyssey roster.

(“Heaven Can Wait” by LSD blares over the speakers and Jonetta Stone skips onto the scene with an elk headdress, a white fur shawl, and an ivory necklace over her pin-up sailor outfit. She walks down the ramp playing with her necklace, once in front of the ring she removes her necklace and shawl, she uses the shawl to cover the necklace as wrapping and forces a stage crew member to take it to safety. She climbs the ring steps to the top turnbuckle, placing her headdress on the ring post, and backflips into the ring, finishing off with a blown kiss towards Liz Idol.)

Rebecca Sawyer:  And her opponent...representing The Dollhouse...from Ottawa, Canada...weighing in at 175 lbs...JONNEEETTTTTTAAAAAA SSSSSTTTTTTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNEEEEEEEE!!!

Ashley Walker:  Jonetta Stone is making her Odyssey debut tonight as the newest member to The Dollhouse.  If she’s anything like her two running mates, she’s going to be a problem for the rest of the ladies here on Odyssey.

(DING!  DING! DING!)

Gia Cervantes:  There’s the bell and we’re officially underway!  Liz Idol doesn’t want to waste any time here and she comes charging out of the corner running straight towards Jonetta!

Ashley Walker:  But Jonetta Stone lifts her leg up and Idol runs directly into a big boot from Stone!  Liz drops flat on her back, clutching her jaw, as Jonetta stares down at her with a smile on her face.

Gia Cervantes:  But now Jonetta grabs Liz by the hair and yanks her straight up to her feet, wrapping her arms around the waist of Idol!  She snaps backward and slams Liz HARD into the mat with a vicious German Suplex!

Ashley Walker:  Jonetta has certainly looked impressive coming out the gates here and she’s not going to back off of the offense now.  Liz Idol is on her hands and knees trying to make her way back to her feet, but Jonetta walks over and hooks her arms underneath Idols...she’s got the Master Lock cinched in!  She lifts Idol to her feet and shakes her back and forth all the while having that version of the full nelson locked in tight! She’s flailing Idol around like a ragdoll now!

Gia Cervantes:  Finally Stone just releases the hold and tosses Idol aside, sending her crashing back down to the mat.  I’m telling you Ashley, Liz may be completely out of her league here. Jonetta Stone has completely dominated her since the opening bell.

Ashley Walker:  She’s not looking to stop here either.  Once again she drags Liz up to her feet and scoops her up into the air.  Stone carries her over to the corner and hangs her from the top rope in that tree of woe position!  Liz Idol could be in serious trouble now!

Gia Cervantes:  Jonetta starts stomping away at Liz, sending kick after kick right to the ribs of Idol!  She’s helpless to stop it and finally Stone backs off as she walks over to the far corner, raising her arms in celebration of the beating she’s putting on her opponent!  Now across the ring, Stone turns and charges at Liz! She hits a running toe kick right to the throat of Liz Idol! That impact forced Liz’ legs free from the top rope and she collapses on the mat!  Jonetta goes for the cover!

Referee:  OOOOOONNNNNNNEEEEEE!!!...

TTTTTTWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOO!!!...

Ashley Walker:  And Liz Idol kicks out just before three!  You have to admire her resiliency, but one has to wonder how smart that was.  Jonetta Stone has been taking it to her since the moment the bell rang.

Gia Cervantes:  I’m inclined to agree with you, partner.  But nevertheless, this match will continue for now.  Jonetta stands ups and immediately starts stomping away at the downed Liz Idol.  Finally, after a moment she stops and turns to the referee, holding up three fingers.  Apparently, she’s under the impression that the official counted a little slow on that last pin attempt.

Ashley Walker:  Looked like a fine count to me Gia.  Either way, Jonetta finally turns her attention back to Liz and forcefully helps her get back to her feet once more.  Jonetta hoists her up into the fireman’s carry position and she could be going for the Stack Overflow!

Gia Cervantes:  But look at Liz!  She wriggles free and lands on her feet behind Stone!  Liz Idol showing signs of life now as she jumps up into the air and hits a dropkick from behind on Jonetta Stone!

Ashley Walker:  Stone stumbles forwards and Liz runs and bounces off the ropes!  This time she clotheslines Jonetta and down goes Stone for the first time in this matchup!

Gia Cervantes:  Jonetta doesn’t stay down long though as she’s already getting back to her feet...but as she does Liz has rebounded off the ropes once more.  A spinning heel kick connects from Idol to Stone!

Ashley Walker:  Somehow, someway Liz Idol has fought her way back in this contest and she now has Jonetta reeling.  Again, Stone is quick to get back to her feet, but also again, Liz Idol is already running at the ropes!  This time she jumps and springboards off of them, returning to Jonetta with a DDT!!! What a display of athleticism with the springboard DDT and Jonetta Stone is down again!

Gia Cervantes:  And she’s not so quick to get back up this time Ashley!  Stone is laid out in the center of the ring and Liz Idol is looking to capitalize!  She quickly makes her way to the corner and climbs up the turnbuckle! She’s got Stone in her sights!  HOLLYWOOD SPLASH!!! She got all of that Frog Splash!!! She covers!

Referee:  OOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEE!!!...

TTTTTWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOO!!!...

Ashley Walker:  And Jonetta Stone powers out before the count of three!  I can’t believe it but Liz Idol is in complete control of this matchup now!  She stalks Jonetta, motioning for her to rise to her feet and slowly she begins to do just that!

Gia Cervantes:  Jonetta is up now, but she has no idea that Idol is right behind her looking to put this one away!  She turns around! IDOLiZER!!!

Ashley Walker:  NO!!! Jonetta Stone pushes her away!  Liz Idol was unable to hit her version of the Stunner and she turns around...RIGHT INTO A KNOCKOUT PUNCH!!!  Jonetta Stone with a HUGE right hand that looked like it knocked Liz Idol out cold!

Gia Cervantes:  Dear Lord, what a strike!  And Jonetta looks EXTREMELY angry now as she reaches down and yanks Liz up by the hair.  She hoists Idol up onto her shoulders and then….STACK OVERFLOW!!!

Ashley Walker:  Jonetta plants Idol with that cartwheel Death Valley Driver and this one is over folks!  That has to be it!

Gia Cervantes:  But instead of going for the cover, Jonetta just stands over the downed Liz Idol still looking rather angry.  Finally, she reaches down and grabs the head of Liz! She locks in The Humbler! That camel clutch is cinched in tight in the center of the ring!  Liz Idol has no choice! She taps! She taps! She taps!

(DING!  DING! DING!)

(Jonetta Stone releases the hold and stands up, wiping her hands and smiling at her performance.  Liz Idol quickly rolls out of the ring as Jonetta Stone has the referee raise her arm in victory while “Heaven Can Wait” plays over the speakers once more.)

Ashley Walker:  Well Liz Idol had her moments in this matchup and it appeared briefly like she was actually going to pull this off, but I’m afraid she was just outmatched against Jonetta Stone here tonight.

Gia Cervantes:  And if tonight’s performance is any indication, the rest of the roster had better be fearful of The Dollhouse.  Because now you’re adding THAT to a group that was already dominant enough to become the tag team champions.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(DING! DING! DING!)

Rebecca Sawyer: The following match is scheduled for one fall! First, making her way to the ring…

(As the opening to "higher" begins to play, the colored lights of Sky Blue, White, and Turquoise begin to flash for ten seconds before Roni Ozborn rushes out to each side of the stage pumping up the crowd before standing in the middle of the stage and feels the crowd energy.)

Rebecca Sawyer: From Detroit Michigan, weighing in at 130 lbs, “The Aerial Ace” RONI OZBORN!!!

Gia Cervantes: And here comes the winner of the Amazon Warfare Battle Royal!

Ashley Walker: Roni Ozborn determined to start the second season off on a strong note.

(Roni quickly heads towards the ring, flashing the "Spade," as she makes her way down towards the ring.)

Rebecca Sawyer: Her opponent!

(“Off with Her Head” by Icon For Hire plays as Novita walks out wearing her trademark baseball cap and sunglasses.)

Rebecca Sawyer: From Indonesia! Weighing in at 143 lbs! “The Mat Magician” Novita!

Gia Cervantes: The sister of former United States Champion, Nobi! She’s said to be as technically gifted as her older brother!

Ashley Walker: But different in personality! I hear that she has a bit of a mean streak.

(Novita slides into the ring and takes off her entrance gear while glaring at her opponent.)

(DING! DING! DING!)

Gia Cervantes: The ref calls for the bell and here we go! Novia and Roni are locking up in the center of the ring! Both women are attempting to gain an advantage on one another, but the odds are in The Mat Magician’s favor as scores a side headlock! Stiff Euro Uppercut to the chin! Roni tries to shake it off- a second uppercut! Novita attempts another tie-up. But she has Roni against the ropes. The ref starts the five count, but Novia lets go, patting Roni on the head. Osborn does not look happy about that!

Ashley Walker: Novita is known to antagonize and belittle her opponents in order to get into their head. Roni’s gonna have to keep a level head if she wants to start season two off with some momentum.

Gia Cervantes: Novita challenges Roni to another tie-up. Ozborn obliges! They lock-up once more and Novia scores a waist lock takedown! She transitions to a side headlock and slaps Roni upside the head!

Ashley Walker: Such disrespect! She now has her opponent in a bodyscissors while trash talking trash. Roni needs to break the hold. The longer she remains in it, the more it’ll take the wind out of her!

Gia Cervantes: Ozborn starts attacking the leg and she manages to break free! Both women are on their feet! Beautiful dropsault from Roni! Novita gets back up! Knee lift from The Aerial Ace! She whips Novita to the corner! Wow! Corner backflip kick! Novita falls into a seated position! Roni runs to the opposite corner and charges back...DETROIT SMASH! The sliding forearm smash connects!

Ashley Walker: Roni is marching around the ring while playing to the crowd! She’s on fire right now!

Gia Cervantes: Roni picks up Novita in the Argentine position- Novita slips out! Whoa! What a German Suplex! Roni’s rolling out of the ring to recover as Novita hits the ropes! She’s coming back...baseball slide! Roni is knocked face first into the outside floor!

Ashley Walker: Novita is taking time to collect herself as she makes her way to the outside. Ozborn has a relentless offense that the blonde Indonesian needs to put a lid on.

Gia Cervantes: Roni has inflicted the most damage so far, but Novita is wasting no time to return the favor! She grabs Ronis and throws her into the steel steps! She’s taken some serious damage right there!

Ref: One!

Ashley Walker: The ref just started the ten count but I doubt Novia even cares at this point!

Gia Cervantes: Novita has Roni in her sights as she takes a couple of steps back...SHE’S GOING FOR A PENALTY KICK AGAINST THE STEEL STEPS! RONI ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY AND NOVITA CRASH AND BURNS INTO THE STEPS!

Ref: Two!

Ashley Walker: Roni has a chance to turn things around! The Amazon Warfare winner is digging deep to get to her feet and exact some form of vengeance! She begins stomping at Novita’s head against the stairs! Sometimes I forget how much of a pitbull she can be!

Ref: Three!

Gia Cervantes: Roni grabs Novita by the hair and rolls her into the ring for the quick cover!

Ref: OOOOOONEEEEEEEE!!!

TWWWWWWOOOOOOO!!!

Gia Cervantes: Novita gets the shoulder up, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to stop Ozborn as she goes for a Leglock Cloverleaf! Novita’s in pain! She’s trying to bend her body around to slip out of the hold, but Roni drags her to the center of the ring! You can tell that she’s using a lot of strength just to try and keep the hold locked in! Novita’s powerful legs get the best out of her and flip her over! Novita struggles to stand on her feet, but Roni wastes no time grabbing her...EXPLODER SUPLEX! Ozborn kip-ups and turns back to her opponent. Another deadlift! She has Novia over her shoulders! SKYFALL KICK!! WAI! NOVITA GRABS THE LEG MID AIR! Both women are on the mat - NOVITA COUNTERED THE OVERHEAD KICK INTO A SHARPSHOOTER! SHE HAS THE SHARPSHOOTER IN PLACE! RONI IS STRUGGLING TO GET FREE! SHE’S REACHING OUT FOR THE ROPES BUT IS GETTING A TASTE OF HER OWN MEDICINE AS SHE’S PULLED TO THE CENTER OF THE RING! RONI’S CRYING AND SCREAMING IN ABSOLUTE PAIN! THE REF IS CHECKING IN ON HER! SHE’S ASKING IF RONI WANTS TO TAP! OZBORN REFUSES TO GIVE IN!

Ashley Walker: Ozborn needs to turn over on her back! Novita is planted on her lower back! She needs to get Novita off and turn this match back into her favor!

Gia Cervantes: Ozborn is struggling to crawl towards the rope! Novita is losing strength in her arms...SHE MAKES IT! Roni has the rope!

Ref: ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

FOUR!

Ashley Walker: Saved by the rope! Novita is forced to relinquish the hold. The ref orders her to give her opponent from space and Roni obliges.

Gia Cervantes: Novita is staying close to the ref as if attempting to hide behind him. Roni is looking pressed right now! She charges at Novita! Back body drop counter! Roni lands on the apron! Novita turns around - SKY PIERCING SPEAR! Novita’s head collides with the mat! She rolls over Novita and lifts her in a back-to-belly position! RADIANT SKY CRASH! Novita is laid out! Roni picks up Novita in a belly-to-back position...Novita counters the wheelbarrow facebuster with a victory roll!

Ref: OOOONEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

TWWWWWWOOOOOOOOO!!!

Gia Cervantes: Roni kicks out! She ducks the wild haymaker! She has Novita in the Argentine position! CYCLONE BOMB!!! Ozborn points at the top rope! She’s going for broke! Roni climbs to the top! With a point to her elbow, she takes to the sky!  SHE HITS THE SKY ELBOW!!! SHE MAKES THE COVER!

Ref: OOOONEEEEEEEEE!!!!

TWWWWOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEE!!!!!

(DING! DING! DING!)

(“Higher” by Man with a Mission plays as Roni Ozborn rolls off of her opponent, her arms raised in victory.)

Rebecca Sawyer: Your winner by pinfall...RONI OZBORN!

Gia Cervantes: Novita almost had her, but Roni Ozborn proves once again why she’s one of the fastest rising stars on Odyssey!

Ashley Walker: The fans certainly agree with you! We may be witnessing the start of a blossoming career. Dulce Torres and Natalie Cage...take notice!

(Roni leans against the rope, smiling at the crowd while soaking in the adoration of her fans.).

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(We open up in the backstage area, where the camera is focused on a seated Jovana Slater. The resident Odyssey correspondent smiles before beginning to speak.)

Jovana Slater: Good evening, Odyssey faithful. I’m Jovana Slater, and I’m thrilled and honored to be sitting down with my guest tonight -- one of the cornerstones of this brand, the woman often heralded as its workhorse, and now the two-time Goddesses Champion, Dulce Torres. Welcome, and thank you for being here.

(The camera pans out to show Dulce sitting across from Jovana, the Goddesses Championship draped across her lap. She smiles politely at Jovana.)

Dulce Torres: Anytime. Thank you for having me.

Jovana Slater: Now, I touched on this already, but you’re not only sitting here as the Goddesses Champion. You’re both the inaugural holder of that title and now, the first woman to have held it more than once. Some people would say you’re synonymous with the championship and vice versa.

(Dulce laughs.)

Dulce Torres: That’s a fair assessment.

Jovana Slater: How do you feel about that?

Dulce Torres: It’s an honor, really. There’s no other way to sum it up, and there couldn’t possibly be any other way to feel about it. I’ve been on Odyssey long enough to remember when one championship was seen as being enough. And then, there was so much growth that a second title was needed. I know that there will always be people who feel that titles that aren’t world titles are “lesser”, but I think champions in OWA have always tried to dispell that notion. Look at the Television Championship reigns of people like Gareth Cason and Carlos Rosso. Think about how dominant of a Spartan Champion Layne Kurobane was. The champion makes the championship, not the other way around. I’ve always held that close to the vest. The fact that this title and I are -- for lack of a better way of putting it -- intertwined at the moment is something that I’m proud of. I fought hard to win it, to defend it, and to win it back. I’ll fight even harder this time around to keep it.

Jovana Slater: Your reign from Civil War to Pluto’s Gate was one to marvel at. A very game Nikita LaShae was able to unseat you back in March, but of course, you won the championship back in short order at Final Destination. Did you feel as if you were caught off-guard by Nikita, and if so, did it motivate you to emerge victorious from the Six-Pack Challenge last month?

Dulce Torres: I handpicked Nikita as my challenger for a reason. Pluto’s Gate was the biggest stage that Odyssey had been on up to that point, and I wanted to defend my title against the best and brightest. It only felt right. She fit the bill. She was the better woman that night, and I have no problem admitting that. When it comes to losing a title, and you know a rematch isn’t guaranteed, it does light a fire underneath you. You want to prove that you still belong in contention, and I was very much a woman on a mission moving into Final Destination. I’m proud to say I accomplished that mission.

Jovana Slater: As far as what the future holds, what do you foresee for this reign? How determined are you to surpass your last reign, in terms of days? Are there any challengers you’re looking forward to facing in particular?

Dulce Torres: Oh, I definitely want to make this reign better than the last one. I’m all about pushing myself and finding my new personal best. I want to reign longer, defend more, and continue to show that the Goddesses Championship is an integral part of the Odyssey brand. As far as challengers I’ve got my eye on, there's a handful. Megan Raine, April Song, Nicole Fyre, Jessica Rose...maybe even the new sparkplug of the moment, Roni Ozborn. I’d be happy to face any of them, or anyone I didn’t name, for that matter. I’m looking forward to being put through my paces by any of the women who step up.

Jovana Slater: A nice, confident note to end on. I believe that’s all the time we’ve got right now, but thank you again for joining me, Dulce. Let’s send things back to the commentary booth.

[“Foreva” by Cardi B is blasting over the airwaves as we return to Odyssey with Cynthia Ali and Clair Wildingham standing in the ring awaiting their opponents. Cynthia is in a last-minute huddle with her manager Brittanya; Clair is soaking in the jeers of some of the ringside fans, smirking and trading some insults with them.]

Rebecca Sawyer: Ladies and Gentleman the following contest is a tag team match and it is set for one fall, Introducing team number one, first, accompanied to the ring by The “Golden Villian” Brittanya, from Los Angeles, California……….CYNNNNNNNNTHIAAAAAA ALIIIIIIIIIIII!!! Her tag team partner, from London, England, CLAIRRRRRRRRR WILDINGHAAAAAAAMMMMM!

Ashley Walker: Welcome back to Odyssey and we have a special tag team match featuring two teammates who probably couldn’t be any more different.

Gia Cervantes: That’s true, Ash, but with the big announcement of the Athena’s Cup and everyone looking to impress our GM, they’ll have to get it together. Plus, the opposition is pretty stout to say the least….

[““Studio" by ScHoolboy Q feat. BJ The Chicago Kid blasts through the arena as Megan Harper makes her way out to the stage to a boisterous reception, she looks behind her expecting her partner to quickly follow but after a few seconds she gets annoyed and starts making her way to the ring.]

Rebecca Sawyer: And their opponents, first, from Hammersmith, London, England…...MEGAAAAAAAAANNNNN HARRRRRRRPERRRRR!

Ashley Walker: One of the most charismatic personalities in OWA is making her way to the ring but as of yet no sign of her partner.

[“Insane” by Centaur plays and April Song comes running to join her partner, Megan giving off an irritated huff as April wraps an arm around her shoulder and leans in to talk strategy.]

Rebecca Sawyer: And her partner, from Colorado Springs, Colorado…..APRILLLLLLL SOOOOOOONNNGG!

Gia Cervantes: Speak of the devil! I heard from some “sources” that April had a little too much fun at one of the local bars so she wound up being a bit late to the arena. Nothing confirmed.

Ashley Walker: Be that as it may, we’re about set here for tag team action as April and her partner, who are somewhat familiar with each other, will meet Clair and Cynthia. Megan’s already talking trash to her opponents but April’s a bit more relaxed, volunteering to start for their team. Clair will start for her team and here we go!

DING DING DING!!!!

Ashley Walker: Clair is reaching out trying to lock up but April seems to be hesitant, realizing she is giving up quite a size advantage against the one of the larger women here on Odyssey. They do tie up and April is forced rather easily into ropes on the far side, our referee Elle is trying to get a good clean break and Clair obliges...patting April on the head like she’s some kind of small child or something.

Gia Cervantes: April is not someone you want to make angry at you. She’s already notoriously ruthless in the ring with opposition she’s neutral when it comes to feelings about.

Ashley Walker: They go for a tie up once more but Clair cuts off April with a rake of the eyes and then a vicious chop right to the chest! That stung from here! A knee to the midsection and she’s taken complete control here in the early going. Clair shoots Miss Song into the ropes, looking for a big boot that April easily ducks….AND SHE’S IMMEDIATELY GOING FOR A CROSSFACE CHICKEN WING….CLAIR IS LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET TO THE ROPES!

Gia Cervantes: She manages to use her long legs to her advantage but April’s got her arm still and is tugging her back towards the center…..Clair uses the momentum to try a wild spinning backfist...but it misfires! April catches her with the Widowmaker and Clair falls to the mat! Song quickly up to her feet and tagging in Megan Harper….Megan waits for Clair to rise to her feet...ONE HIT WONDER!

Ashley Walker: Megan with that beautiful move and…..what is this?

[The camera pans in on all the members of the Dollhouse: DiVa, Sweet Roxy and Jonetta Stone clapping condescendingly as Megan looks over at them before locking Clair in a headlock.]

Gia Cervantes: Well, rumors are that the Dollhouse are scouting potential opposition on all the OWA brands and...I’m pretty sure that April and Megan are not a confirmed team as of yet, but I guess it doesn’t hurt to keep your eyes open?

Ashley Walker: You’d also have to figure at least one of the Dollhouse members would be representing the group in the Athena’s Cup, so you would have to assume at least one of the ladies out here would be involved in that. Anyway Megan has Clair up to a vertical base, Clair trying to fight out of that headlock and Megan lets her out of it only to take her down with a snapmare….THEN A DROPKICK RIGHT TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD! She goes for a quick cover….

ONEEEEEEEEEE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Ashley Walker: Clair powers out of it!

Sweet Roxy: You guys are doing amazing in there! I’m totally blown away!

Jonetta Stone: That dropkick was a little sloppy but nice try, sugar.

DiVa: Hey Megan, I heard your last album bombed! Don’t worry! I’ll feature on your next one! Or maybe you can feature on mine if you want to actually make money…..

April Song: YOU THREE IDIOTS SHUT YOUR COCK HOLSTERS OR I’M COMING DOWN THERE!

[The crowd looks over at April who is daring the three women to jump over the barricade to fight, but she doesn’t notice as Brittanya comes and pulls her foot off the apron, bringing her down to the arena floor and bouncing her head off the steel steps.]

Ashley Walker: Cynthia Ali’s running buddy just gave her team a leg up as she pulled April off the apron! Megan is trying to go check on her but she’s cut off by Clair who pulls her down by the hair before delivering a knee drop right to the forehead! Clair runs over and tags in her partner Cynthia...they pull Megan up to her feet….DOUBLE TEAM SNAP SUPLEX!

Gia Cervantes: April is still trying to get herself together on the arena floor as Cynthia pulls Megan up and gives her a few stiff kicks right to the torso. She goes for a tornado DDT and it connects! Can she and her partner pick up a vital win here!? She shoots the half!

ONEEEEEEEE!!!

TWOOOOOOO!!!!

Ashley Walker: Megan kicks out! Cynthia looks around annoyed as her manager shouts encouragement; she goes to tag in Clair again and the two of them again try to exploit their two on one advantage….Cynthia has Megan in a full nelson, I think she’s calling for a high knee from Clair, who comes running in to oblige….BUT MEGAN MANAGED TO WIGGLE FREE AND SHE CLOCKS CYNTHIA INSTEAD! MEGAN WITH AN ENZUIGIRI THAT STUNS CLAIR!

Gia Cervantes: The Dollhouse and Brittanya don’t look as entertained as before as April is back up, the cobwebs cleared as she reaches out for the tag! Megan dives over and tags in the Professional! Dragon Rush palm strikes to Clair as she is driven back into the corner! Cynthia tries to intervene but she eats a European uppercut for her troubles! Clair comes out again looking for a big boot! April catches it and hits a NASTY looking Dragon Screw!

Ashley Walker: Clair is rolling around grasping at her knee and April is just stalking her waiting for her to get up….Cynthia tries to save her partner but…...FLAPJAQUES!!!!!!!!!!! MEGAN TAKES HER DOWN AND CYNTHIA ROLLS OUT OF THE RING! Brittanya tries to get involved again but Megan takes her out of the equation with a suicide dive...back in the ring April locks in a sleeperhold! Clair is in trouble but she’s fading fast! This crowd on their feet, eager to see a potential tapout here! Clair is fading and falls to a seated, April locks in an inverted facelock…

Gia Cervantes: Stretch Plum…..

Ashley Walker: Stretch what!?

Gia Cervantes: It’s a pretty excruciating hold that you see more in Japan than in America...April’s got her leg positioned right there between Clair’s and she’s going to pull Clair’s head back with her arms push a leg forward…..Right there!

Ashley Walker: This move is a bit difficult to describe, but it’s serving its purpose and stretching Clair out! She’s trying to fight out of it, Cynthia is back in the ring but Megan takes her down and locks in Destiny Calls! There’s no reprieve for Clair and she taps out! This one is over!

DING DING DING!!!!!

[“Fly Away” plays as April and Megan release their holds before getting their hands raised by the referee, Megan immediately resuming to talking trash to the Dollhouse at ringside while April simply leans against the ropes, blowing a kiss in their direction.]

Rebecca Sawyer: Ladies and Gentleman, the winners of this contest: MEGAN HARPER AND APRRRRILLLLLLLL SONG!

Ashley Walker: Viola DeMarco is surely taking note of this emphatic victory by the Killer Bee and The Storm! The Dollhouse and the rest of Odyssey should probably take notice of these two.

Gia Cervantes: Two singles stars coming together to get the job done and April finishes things off the way she traditionally does, by making her opposition tap out. You know she has her sights set on Stephanie Matsuda, but could a spot in the Athena’s Cup put that thirst for payback on hold?

(The feed picks up in the locker room, where Jessica Rose is warming up for upcoming main event match. The look in her eyes, however, suggests that the recently-returned Alpha is distracted. She’s lost in her own world to the point that she doesn’t even hear Natalie Cage walk into the frame, and she almost jumps when the Women’s World Champion places a hand on her shoulder.)

Natalie Cage: Whoa, somebody’s jumpy! No need to be so skittish, love, I’m just here to wish you good luck before we head out there tonight. This match is one I’ve been waiting on for a while. If you want a killer main event, I suppose you’ve got to rely on the Commonwealth, right?

(Natalie playfully punches Jessica in the shoulder, to which Rose responds with a half-hearted laugh.)

Jessica Rose: Yeah...right! Of course! I’m happy to be facing you, too. It’s a great way to return.

(Unconvinced by this, Natalie quirks an eyebrow and plops down on the bench closest to Jessica.)

Natalie Cage: Cut the bullshit.

Jessica Rose: I -- what?

Natalie Cage: Look, I didn’t win this title by not doing my homework. I don’t care how long you were gone, I’m not writing you off. I know how good you are. I want your best, and I’m not gonna get it if you walk out to that ring with your head in the goddamn clouds. A word of advice, whatever it is that’s living rent-free in your head? Leave it back here before you lock up with me. It’ll be a detriment otherwise.

Jessica Rose: I’ll be honest, during the draft show, while just about everyone else was so excited to see you face Dulce, I was worried about something else. I was looking for Sav -- Persephone, and I couldn’t find her. I wanted to talk to her, and I didn’t get to. It’s been bothering me.

(Natalie snorts.)

Natalie Cage: Why?

(Jessica opens her mouth to respond before she catches herself. She scoffs.)

Jessica Rose: I’d expect you of all people to understand.

Natalie Cage: I don’t waste my time on lost causes, dear.

Jessica Rose: No, but you know what it’s like to be powerless while you watch someone you’re close to turn into something they’re not.

Natalie Cage: My brother was always a psychotic, jealous, bloodthirsty megalomaniac. I just wasn’t always able to see it. He didn’t change, I did. And as far as Diantha is concerned --

???: She’s always closer than you think. It’d do you good to have eyes in the back of your head.

(Natalie rises from her seat when she hears a familiar voice, spinning around to see Diantha Moreau walking into the locker room. She’s got a menacing expression on her face.)

Natalie Cage: Jesus, were you standing there the whole time? You know what, nevermind. You of all people should know I don’t need eyes in the back of my head. I just turn around, face anyone who thinks they’ve got my number, and I look them dead in the eyes before I knock their teeth down their throat. Or perhaps you’ve forgotten what I’m all about? You have been flying a bit under the radar since Final Destination. Plotting how to squander your next big opportunity, perhaps?

Diantha Moreau: Oh, Natalie. Poor, foolish Natalie. Just because you haven’t seen me doesn’t mean I haven’t been paying attention. I know very well that you feel like you’re on top of the world, and if anyone’s due to knock you back down to ground level, it’s me.

Natalie Cage: Well hey, are you free later tonight? I could always squeeze you in after my match with Jess here, if you’re that anxious to give it a go.

Diantha Moreau: Maybe I’ll show my face later on, maybe I won’t. When I truly make my presence felt, chances are that you won’t even see it coming, just like you didn’t see me walk into this locker room just now. You and I both know it’s true, Natalie...none of these other women know you like I do. They’re not as well equipped to beat you as I am. I AM THE CHALLENGE YOU NEED...and you’re not half the champion you think you are until you defeat me!

Natalie Cage: Yeah, we’ll see about that. You know I never run from a fight, and I’m not hard to find. If it’s meant to be, and if you want it THAT badly, then I’m sure it’ll happen sooner rather than later. One of these days, I’ll put you on your ass, D, but as it stands now…

(Natalie lovingly pats the gold hanging on her shoulder.)

Natalie Cage: ...the champ has champion things to do.

(A small, knowing smirk creases Diantha’s expression.)

Diantha Moreau: Right. I suppose I should leave you to it, shouldn’t I?

(With that, Diantha leaves, almost as suddenly as she’d appeared in the first place. Initially, there is silence as Natalie and Jessica watch her leave.)

Jessica Rose: Looks like you’ve got a loose end of your own.

Natalie Cage: Someone’s always calling for my head. I’m used to it now. I’ll see you out there, alright?

(Jessica nods, pursing her lips and exhaling sharply as Natalie exits the frame, leaving Jessica alone. She remains in the locker room for a couple of seconds before she starts to leave herself. She’s stopped by someone blocking her path and standing in the doorway.)

Jessica Rose: ...Persephone?

(The camera pulls out to show Persephone Bane standing in the doorway.)

Persephone Bane: Leaving so soon? I thought you wanted to talk?

Jessica Rose: I do...well, I did. I mean, I still do, I just don’t have time now. I have a match about to start soon, so…

Persephone Bane: I should’ve seen this coming. She told me all about you.

Jessica Rose: Who?

Persephone Bane: That pathetic weakling Savannah...before she got everything she ever wanted, that is.

Jessica Rose: Okay, just when I thought this whole act couldn’t get any weirder, why are you talking in third person?

Persephone Bane: Your tone suggests that you believe you’re talking to someone you’re familiar with, but that couldn’t be anything further from the truth. I’m not your Savannah. I’m not the smiling simpleton who wasted her time and gave of herself trying to make complete strangers feel joy. You and I have never actually met, Jessica, and yet...I feel as if there’s unfinished business that we have to tend to.

Persephone Bane: I feel nothing but sadness bubble up in Savannah’s consumed soul when you’re the topic of conversation. You left her when she needed you most, and for that, you have to pay.

Jessica Rose: I feel like I should be more freaked out than I am. Look, Persephone or Savannah or Elvira or generic Hot Topic cashier number eleven, whatever you’re calling yourself now, I wanted closure. I wanted the woman who used to be my best friend to look me in the eyes and tell me where she went wrong. I wanted to help her rediscover who she used to be, but I see now that won’t happen. When you’re done disassociating, come talk to me, and we can work through...whatever this is together. In the meantime, I have a return match to go wrestle.

(A steely-eyed Jessica pushes her way past Persephone and makes her way down the hallway, leaving Bane to chuckle to herself in a sinister manner as the feed cuts to the ringside area.)

Rebecca Sawyer: The following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL…

Crowd: ...ONE FALL!

Rebecca Sawyer: ...AND IT IS YOUR MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING!

(“Don’t Die Digging” -- The Graduate hits to a massive ovation. Jessica Rose dons a beaming smile as she bounds out onto the stage, soaking in the infectious energy of the crowd. She surveys them from the top of the ramp, giving them an approving nod before taking off down the aisle, high-fiving fans along the barricade as she goes.)

Rebecca Sawyer: IIIIIIIIINTRODUCING FIRST! From Leeds, England...weighing in at 121 pounds...THIS IS “THEEEEEEEE SHINING LIGHT”...JESSICAAAAAAAAAA ROOOOOOOOOOOSE!

Gia Cervantes: One of the originators of the women’s division is officially back on the scene, and Jessica Rose looks ready to remind people of exactly what she’s capable of! Her previous tenure was one of close calls, including a chance to become the inaugural Women’s World Champion and a shot at becoming what was then called the Queen of the Ring! If I know this girl, she’s ready to chart a path toward some real, tangible gold this time around!

Ashley Walker: And what a way to start charting that path than to face a champion tonight...no, THE champion! What a statement Jessica would make if she was able to topple the Women’s World Champion on the season premiere of Odyssey! It’s easier said than done, though…

(The lights go down in the arena, before a tattered Union Jack appears on the tron, a flag that’s engulfed in flames.)

YOU’LL TAKE MY LIFE, BUT I’LL TAKE YOURS TOO

YOU FIRE MUSKETS, BUT I’LL RUN YOU THROUGH

SO WHEN YOU’RE WAITING FOR THE NEXT ATTACK

YOU’D BETTER STAND, THERE’S NO TURNING BACK

(The lights come up to reveal Natalie Cage at the top of the ramp, the OWA Women's World Championship slung over her shoulder as ‘The Trooper’ by Iron Maiden plays and the crowd erupts in cheers. She marches down to the ring as the crowd sing along to the iconic chorus chant.)

WOAH-OH-OH-OH-OH-OH-OH-OH-OH

WOAH-OH-OH-OH-OH-OH-OH-OH-OH

Rebecca Sawyer: AAAAAAAAND HER OPPONENTS! From Manchester, England...weighing in at 138 pounds...SHE IS THE OWA WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPION…“THEEEEEEE ALPHA MALE”...NATALIEEEEEEEE CAAAAAAGEEEEEE!

Gia Cervantes: Natalie Cage had an absolutely meteoric rise up through the ranks over the course of season one, freeing herself from the ranks of Wolvesden before winning the Women’s Clash of the Titans to ultimately secure herself a title match at Final Destination -- that she would go on to win! Along the way, she found herself contending with bloodthirsty foes like Eris and her own brother!

Ashley Walker: After all of that, she stands here tonight as the champion! Natalie is so proud to carry the banner of Odyssey, and I know that she’d love nothing more than to get her season two off to a winning start with a win here tonight! Just the same, I’m sure she knows she can’t count a spirited competitor like Jessica out. In this Battle of the Brits taking place in our main event, it may just boil down to who wants it more!

(Natalie hands her championship off to Elle Halen, who passes it off to a production assistant at ringside before calling for the bell.)

(DING! DING! DING!)

Gia Cervantes: Elle just called for the opening bell, and here we go! Natalie and Jessica make a beeline for the center of the ring, and look at this -- Jessica reaches out for the very sportsmanlike handshake, and the champion readily accepts. The crowd applauds the nice display and the two ladies move right into the opening collar-and-elbow tie-up! The ensuing power struggle doesn’t last long at all, and Natalie gets the upper hand in short order. She smoothly transitions into a side headlock, keeping her opponent neutralized. Jessica is trying to free herself, but Cage keeps the pressure on and forces Rose down to a knee. Jessica is able to force herself back up again, stomping on the foot of the titleholder before taking her over with a jumping snapmare! Natalie rolls through and pops back up onto her feet, but here comes Jessica! She runs right at Natalie and flattens her with a running front dropkick!  Cage falls, and Rose scrambles into the cover! But look! Natalie kicks out with authority before the official can even drop down to count!

Ashley Walker: After that, both ladies are quick to get to their feet. Jessica rushes in for the running big boot, but Natalie ducks out of the way! Miss Rose turns back around to face her opponent, but The Alpha Male clocks her with a bruising forearm smash! Jessica is unable to stagger away after the impact because Natalie latches onto her arm and reels her in! OH! There’s the canvas-shaking belly-to-belly suplex from the champion! She hooks the leg and Elle drops down to count!

Elle Halen: ONEEEEEEEEEE!

Gia Cervantes: Jessica throws that shoulder up with gusto just after one! Natalie gets up to her feet, followed soon thereafter by Jessica. OH! The champion wastes little time doubling Jessica over with a boot to the ribs! She grabs onto Rose’s arm and Irish whips her into the ropes. Jessica hits the ropes and rebounds off, heading right for Natalie! The Alpha Male thinking she’ll floor the Jessica with a shoulder block, but she had it scouted! The Shining Light drops down and slides through Cage’s legs, springing up onto her feet behind her! Natalie spins around to face Rose -- AND CATCHES A PELE KICK TO THE HEAD FOR HER TROUBLES! Natalie falls down to the canvas and Jessica scrambles into the cover!

Elle Halen: ONEEEEEEEEEE!

Ashley Walker: It’s good enough for a count of one! Unfazed, Jessica hurries back to her feet before Natalie can begin shaking out the cobwebs! OH WOW! There’s a standing moonsault from Miss Rose, driving all the air out of the champion! What a showing from her so far as she moves into yet another pin attempt!

Elle Halen: ONEEEEEEEE!

Gia Cervantes: The flashy offense and fast-paced style of Jessica Rose are on full display here, but it so far hasn’t done much to keep Natalie down for a prolonged period of time! It’s a sound strategy from the Englishwoman, though; if she can stick and move and keep Cage off-kilter, she could bring this one home! Jessica looks to keep the pressure on, popping back up onto her feet and taking a few steps back before running toward the downed Natalie! A BEAUTIFUL RUNNING SHOOTING STAR PRESS -- NO! NATALIE GOT THE KNEES UP! Jessica rolls off of Natalie clutching her ribs! The Manchester native peels Jessica from the canvas and heaves her up and over with a BEAUTIFUL fisherman suplex! She holds the bridge, and Elle slides into position for the count!

Elle Halen: ONEEEEEEE! TWOOOOOOOO!

Ashley Walker: Jessica kicks out after two! She went to the well one time too many with that shooting star press, but luckily for her, she managed to stay alive! Both women get back on their feet, with Natalie making it to a vertical base before Jessica does. A well-placed rolling elbow from the champion sends Jessica staggering away! Natalie quickly reels her back in, trying to set Miss Rose up for a reverse STO! The lady from Leeds is frantically fighting back, though, sending a flurry of elbow shots into the temple of The Alpha Male! Natalie has no choice but to relinquish her grip, and a window of opportunity has opened for Jessica! GOODNESS! A Brazilian roundhouse kick catches Miss Cage flush, sending her crashing down to the mat! Jessica dives down and hooks the leg!

Elle Halen: ONEEEEEEEEE! TWOOOOOOOO!

Gia Cervantes: Natalie kicks out after the conclusion of the two-count! Afterward, Jessica is understandably the first of the two to make it back to her feet. As Natalie is dragging herself up to a knee, Jessica strikes with a toe kick to the nose that causes Cage’s head to snap back violently! Natalie rolls away and attempts to resume her attempt at getting to a vertical base. Jessica’s eyeing her the entire time. As soon as she’s up to her feet, Jessica takes off! RUNNING LEG LARIAT! NO, WAIT! A SHOW OF STRENGTH FROM NATALIE! SHE CATCHES JESSICA AND SHIFTS HER INTO A POWERBOMB LIFT! SHE’S ABOUT TO -- NO! ROSE WITH THE LAST SECOND HURRICANRANA COUNTER! SHE FLINGS NATALIE AWAY FROM HER AND AVOIDS A POTENTIAL MATCH-ENDER!

Ashley Walker: Both girls hurry back to their feet and Jessica’s already rushing in with the discus big boot! NATALIE CATCHES THE LEG! OUCH! Miss Cage transitions the catching single-foot evasion into a knee strike right to the center of Jessica’s face! Miss Rose is stunned, and Natalie is not quite finished! She hoists the Leeds native up -- THERE’S THE DOGTAG! The vertical suplex neckbreaker floors Jessica, and she’s down! Natalie hooks the leg!

Elle Halen: ONEEEEEEEEE! TWOOOOOOOOO!

Gia Cervantes: Kickout from Jessica!

Crowd: NAT-A-LIE! NAT-A-LIE! NAT-A-LIE!

Crowd: LET’S GO ROSE! LET’S GO ROSE! LET’S GO ROSE!

Ashley Walker: This crowd is split right down the middle! It looks like both of these women are a bit taken aback by that as they get to their feet, each allowing their eyes to drift out to the fanatical crowd, if only for a second! OUCH! Natalie snaps Jessica out of it with a sickening elbow smash to the temple!

Natalie Cage (no mic): PAY ATTENTION!

Gia Cervantes: It throws Jessica a little off-kilter, but she gets right back into it, answering with a palm strike of her own! Natalie stumbles backward, but she circles back around, this time catching Jessica with an even HARDER elbow smash! Now they’re trading elbows in the center of the ring! Jessica! Natalie! Jessica! Natalie! There’s two, THREE unanswered elbows from the Manchester native, and she’s getting the better of The Shining Light! Natalie relents only long enough to reel Jessica in! She’s looking for a piledriver! NO! Jessica is refusing to be lifted up! She drives a fist down into the kneecap of Natalie, momentarily hobbling her and forcing her to relinquish her grip! Jessica latches onto the wrist of Natalie! UH OH, HERE WE GO! OLD SCHOOL WRECKING BURST, EVERYONE!

(“Apex Predator” -- Otep hits out of nowhere, causing Jessica’s head to snap in the direction of the ramp. The crowd is booing up a storm, but Persephone Bane pays them no mind, walking down the aisle with a purpose.)

Ashley Walker: This can’t possibly be good! Nothing that’s happened tonight has suggested that Persephone Bane has anything but bad intentions! There’s no reason for her to be out here right now! Worse yet, Jessica is taking her eye off the prize right now!

Gia Cervantes: Persephone leaps up onto the ring apron, but before Jessica can even attempt to engage with her, she hops back down with a sickening smile on her face! Regardless of the mind games that her old tag partner is trying to play, Jessica should probably --

Natalie Cage (no mic): TURN AROUND!

Ashley Walker: Jessica spins around to face her opponent -- RIGHT INTO A BICYCLE KICK FROM NATALIE! GOOD GRIEF! THAT ONE HIT ITS MARK!

Gia Cervantes: Natalie’s not moving into the cover, though! The harried champion moves away and frantically brushes her hair out of her face, making a beeline for the nearest corner and motioning for Jessica to get up!

Ashley Walker: Somehow, Jessica -- likely through a mix of heart and instinct -- is stirring! She drags herself up to one knee, and I think Natalie’s taking that as her cue to charge! She bursts forward out of the corner --

Gia Cervantes: SHOUT! AT! THE! DEVIL! THE SHINING WIZARD CONNECTS FLUSH WITH THE BACK OF JESSICA’S HEAD! DOWN GOES ROSE! THAT’S LIGHTS OUT! NATALIE ROLLS JESSICA OVER AND HOOKS BOTH LEGS!

Elle Halen: ONEEEEEEEEEE! TWOOOOOOOOOO! THREEEEEEEEEE!!

(DING! DING! DING!)

(“The Trooper” hits once again to emphatic applause, and a somewhat annoyed-looking Natalie gets up to a vertical base. Elle hands her the Women’s World Championship, and raises Natalie’s free hand to yet another spike in cheers.)

Rebecca Sawyer: HEEEEEEEEERE IS YOUR WINNER...NATALIEEEEEEEEEE CAAAAAAAAAAGE!

Ashley Walker: The Alpha Male begins season two on a winning note, but look at her face! Despite the fact that she had an absolutely amazing match with Jessica Rose, I know the champion isn’t happy about the fact that Persephone Bane came out here to mess with her opponent! It’s well-known that Natalie doesn’t like people butting into her business! She gave Jessica a chance to get back into the game there at the very end, to no avail!

Gia Cervantes: Natalie is exiting the ring now, rolling under the bottom rope and setting foot on the outside. She bumps shoulders on purpose with the still-smirking Persephone and glares at her!

Natalie Cage (no mic): Stay the fuck away from my matches, yeah?

Ashley Walker: Persephone doesn’t even offer a reply, and she instead enters the ring and begins battering the downed Jessica! She’s raining punches and elbows down onto the fatigued Miss Rose, and all Jessica can do at this point is try to cover up and protect herself! This is despicable!

Gia Cervantes: NATALIE IS ON HER WAY BACK FOR THE ASSIST! Surely, Natalie still respects the fight that Jessica put up, and she’s not okay with this post-match attack from Persephone! Bane gets up to her feet, looming over the fallen Jessica -- AND NATALIE ALL BUT TACKLES HER TO THE MAT! The crowd is cheering up a storm as the champ gives Persephone a taste of her own medicine, dropping NASTY fists and 12-6 elbows down onto Bane!

Ashley Walker: Persephone somehow manages to halt all of this by rolling over! She gets a reprieve! Natalie gets up to her feet and prepares to move back in to continue the beatdown -- WHAT?

Gia Cervantes: A mouthful of black mist from Bane stops the champion in her tracks! Natalie is blinded, and is in no condition to stop what Persephone has in mind next! She reels Cage in and heaves her up to a bevy of boos -- SHE DRILLS THE WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPION WITH DARKNESS REIGNS! That lifting double-underhook facebuster levels Natalie, and I’m kind of losing my mind right now! I thought Persephone was only out here to mess with her one-time tag partner, but Bane just showed that ANYONE could get it!

Ashley Walker: Persephone stoops and plucks the Women’s World Championship from the mat! She chuckles to herself, cradling it for a split second before draping it across the fallen Natalie’s midsection! Persephone’s motivation for all of this could have more levels to it than we thought!

Gia Cervantes: In any case, ladies and gentlemen, that’s all the time we have for tonight! Signing off for myself and Ashley Walker, I’m Gia Cervantes! Good night from Chicago!
