Omega Weekly Awards I

Chase Vedder staring out into the crowd on the first episode of Kingdom.

Jasmine Peyton here! After an incredible first week leading up to the inaugural episode of Kingdom on FXX, I took the liberty into starting out a weekly awards show to recognize the best talent from the week! Shoutouts to Camille for not suing me!

Rising Star of the Week

Scotty Adams

What an INCREDIBLE way this man kicked off his return to the ring with a stellar performance over Trevor Marsden! Unfortunately this match wasn’t showed live as it was just a dark match, but after the show went off the air the crowd were talking about this man! He’s going to be a legitimate threat here on Kingdom and I cannot wait to see if he can keep up this momentum! So congratulations, Scotty! You’re OWA’s first ever rising star of the week! Keep it up!

Promo Battle of the Week

Miltiades vs. Michael Bishop vs. Jon McAdams

The three of these men threw everything at each other! The only match that had everybody reach the promo limit and boy did all three of these men go all out! Battling for a spot in the Four Corners main event at Hardcore Havoc in a few weeks with the opportunity to become the company’s first ever world champion, Miltiades, Bishop and McAdams stopped at nothing to try and prove who was the better man. At the end of the week, and after an incredible match (maybe even match of the night), Jon prevailed and advanced. Huge congratulations to Jon, but huge props to Bishop and Miltiades for giving everybody a great read!

Promoer of the Week

Jon McAdams

And speaking of Jon McAdams, he picked up another award this week being the PROMOER of the week. Out of everybody on the roster, this man had a lot to prove and proved it he did. Jon is probably the most underrated talents OWA has and to see him give it everything he has even still after departing from EAW was a great sight to see. Jon wants to continue to showcase why everybody should consider him a threat to the main event and if he keeps it up, he might legitimately become the first ever OWA World Champion! At least, that’s who I got MY money on!

Goddess of the Week

Savannah Sunshine

I mean, defeating the longest-reigning EAW Women’s World Champion and the current SSW Puroresu Heavyweight Champion in your first match for a new company is a MAJOR deal. Savannah Sunshine PINNED Aria Jaxon… CLEANLY!! What a stellar outing. Despite being rocked for a large portion of the match Savannah stayed calm and stayed composed and managed to take a risk and pin Aria Jaxon to advance in this tournament. She’ll face HENDRIX in the semi-finals and I cannot wait to see how those two go at it! Savannah might now be the favourite to win the OWA Women’s Championship if she keeps her mind on the prize!

Alpha of the Week

Chase Vedder

And much like Savannah Sunshine, Chase Vedder defeating the self-proclaimed greatest EAW Answers World Champion in history is a huge deal. CM Nas, a veteran in this game right in his prime, taking on Tres Comas Club’s Chase Vedder. Wow, and this was an INSANE main event. It had all the expectations riding high going into and it sure did deliver! With Chase now heading into that Four Corners main event at Hardcore Havoc, one has to wonder where CM Nas goes from here. Bob Taylor wants to meet CM Nas in the ring next week and I for one am very much looking forward to see how it plays out. Chase Vedder now joins Jon McAdams, Finnegan Wakefield and Keelan Callihan in the main event of Hardcore Havoc. That’s a match of the year candidate if I’ve ever seen one! But for now, huge kudos to Chase Vedder for becoming our first ever Alpha of the Week!
